Apparently I'm a spinner now. I just had to share. This is my second ever handspun yarn, and I'm already hooked. Keep an eye out for me to be stocking roving, spindles, etc. (No wheels though - that's all Monika.)
Happy Stitching, (and spinning!),

A seemingly natural progression from knitting, I became a spinner years ago and have gotten lots of pleasure from this craft and have met many wonderful people. Starting out on a drop spindle just to "check it out", it didn't take long for me to seek out classes on using a spinning wheel and I was off!! Fun, relaxing, meditative I love spinning no matter whether I am using a wheel or spindle. I demo periodically and people are always so fascinated by the wheel.
I personally have had satisfaction in using different types of drop spindles, so don't be afraid to try different models. If you went to Maryland Sheep & Wool fest you may have noticed all the vendors who are more than anxious for you to try out their product, so take advantage of these venues when they arise.
One more recommendation is checking out The Mannings in East Berlin, PA (near Gettysburg). They usually have a "Spinner's Day Out" in June where you'll have an opportunity to explore a number of things related to spinning.
Enjoy!!!
Bwah ha ha! We spinners got you! It looks like you're doing great :)
Beautiful!
